Terre Nere Prephylloxera Don Pepino 2020, from 150 to 200-year-old Nerello Mascalese vines, is a volcanic beauty that combines Italian tannins with Burgundian styling. Super limited, it’s made from two parcels (0.8ha in total) that survived phylloxera within the Calderara Sottana vineyard. ‘This wine shows the power and the might of Etna viticulture with the delicate grace and elegance that identifies these unique wines,’ writes the Wine Advocate.

Port continues its comeback! The Niepoort Ruby and Tawny Ports are excellent introductions to this fascinating category. Both Douro wines are hand-harvested field blends from low-yielding, old vines in Cima Corgo. Whilst more than 80 varieties are permitted in Port production, and about 30 recommended, the Niepoort Tawny and Ruby Ports mostly feature Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tina Cão, Tinta Francisca, Tinta Amarela and Sousão.
