Tasting notes
Pesquié, Terrasses Ventoux Rouge 2019
'A wine that has almost always been at the top of my good value list for the last decade or more, Les Terrasses offers a deep and rich style, with lots of black cherry and gooseberry fruit mixed with more peppery garrigue. earth, and a touch of meat. Medium-bodied, crisp, and beautifully textured, with silky tannins. You can enjoy the bottles today or store them safely for over a decade. I recently finished a case of the 2005 which was still going strong, so this wine has a lot of longevity.' – Jeb Dunnuck, 91/100
'Notes of smoked tea, lilac and black cherry perfume this blend of Grenache and Syrah sourced from gravelly limestone soils. Unoaked in style, it highlights ripe but pristine black-cherry and plum flavors accented by a firm, stony minerality. Enjoy this exceptionally well-priced yet luminously fruity, elegant wine through 2029.' – Anna Lee C. Iijima, Wine Enthusiast, 91/100
'The 2019 Ventoux Terrasses remains one of the top values in the Southern Rhône. A 60-40 blend of Grenache and Syrah aged exclusively in tank, it offers aromas of black cherries and raspberries, underscored by hints of black olives. Medium to full-bodied, it's round and silky-firm in feel, with a long, salty, mouth-watering finish. Drink 2020-2027.' – Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, 90/100
