Tasting notes
Miles Mossop Wines, Chapter One 2019
Whiffs of wild strawberry, summer fruits, decaying rose and potpourri are countered with hints of dried herbs, musk and an earthy savouriness that leads to a fresh and vibrant palate. Juicy and delicious right now but needs a bit of time to lose all that puppy fat. A chalky finish adds definition to the finish. – James Pietersen (September 2020)
Miles Mossop Wines, Chapter Two 2019
Initially shy and slow to evolve. The elegant notes of stone fruit are joined by delicate white flowers, crushed stone and an invitingly coy depth. The palate is wonderfully sketched with a fine line of acidity, wrapped in a typical Swartland saltiness. Long, lingering and poised to the end. – James Pietersen (September 2020)
Miles Mossop Wines, Chapter Three 2019
Expressive sun-ripened peach, apricot and dried pineapple billow from the glass. The nose is open, yet delicate and follows to a racy, linear and poised palate with a nudge of apricot kernel adds an attractively bitter bite. – James Pietersen (September 2020)
Miles Mossop Wines, Chapter Four 2019
A serious style from Stellenbosch fruit with lifted fynbos and blackcurrant leaf, it’s flinty and tightly wound. Some floral notes, white peach leads to a summery, firm and pithy palate with notes of white fruit and lingering fennel. – James Pietersen (September 2020)
