'Disgorged in May 2018 and based on the 2015 vintage, Dehours's NV Brut Nature is showing nicely, mingling aromas of honey, linden and citrus oil with subtle hints of warm pastry. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and precise, it's chiseled and saline, with a delicate pinpoint mousse. 2020-2027.' – William Kelley, Wine Advocate, 90/100 (Mar 2021)

'The NV Brut Nature is a beautiful wine that captures so much of what makes the Dehours Champagnes so appealing. This release is based on 2015, with 30% reserve wines from a perpetual reserve that dates back to 1998. In tasting, the Brut Nature shows terrific freshness and focus to play off some of the more complex notes from the older wines in the blend. Expressive floral overtones heighten a core of orchard fruit, almond and spice flavors nicely. The Brut Nature is a touch eccentric, but quite compelling as well. 2020-2025.' – Antonio Galloni, Vinous, 90/100 (Nov 2020)

'This experimental Cuvée, extra aged on lees, reveals the Pinot Meunier Character, favorite grape-variety in the Marne Valley area and iconic identity of our vineyard. We use a high proportion of Perpetual reserve started in 1998. Malolactic fermentation completed. We have used natural selected yeasts (from our own vineyard) for the second fermentation in bottle. To enhance the identity of our Terroirs.' – Winemaker

Producer information Founded in the 1930s, Dehours & Fils is run by the third generation vigneron, Jérôme Dehours. They farm 42 parcels over 14.5 ha split between the villages of Mareuil-la-Port (Montagne de Reims); and Oeuilly, Cerseuil and Troissy (Vallée de la Marne). This area, Vallée de Flagot, named for the small river flowing through the valley to meet the Marne River, has a cool climate. It is perfect for growing Pinot Meunier, the corner stone of Dehours Champagne. As for the style at Dehours, the wines are respectful of the rich and bold flavours of the Pinot Meunier with a vibrant energy the result of a low dosage from brut to extra brut cuvées.
