‘Making the most of the 2021 vintage, Riandri and Anzette Visser have produced a superb Reserve Sauvignon Blanc. Blended with 8% Semillon and barrel fermented in older oak, this is a taut, focused, linear white with lovely elderflower and fresh lemon flavours, chiselled acidity and at touch of vanilla spice. 2023-28’ – Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2022, 94/100
‘The 2021 Sauvignon Blanc Cape Point Vineyards Reserve comes from parcels higher up the slope on decomposed granite soil, these vines around 18-20 years old. This undergoes a natural fermented in 600-litre barrels and kept on the lees for 14 months with no lees-stirring. This takes a couple of minutes to just settle in the glass with attractive scents of green apple, asparagus and touches of bell pepper. The palate is well balanced with quite a spicy opening, Loire-like in style, fanning out nicely towards the finish with fine salinity. A very capable Sauvignon that will be difficult to resist once released in late 2022. 2023-2030’ – Neal Martin, Vinous, 92/100
