‘The latest in a superb run of Isliedh releases, this is a brilliant, world-class wine that continues to turn heads. Featuring 7% Sauvignon Gris for the first time, partnered with Sauvignon Blanc and 27% Semillon, it's a serious, structured, barrel-fermented delight with subtle, stony reduction, kelp, sea breeze and vanilla spice aromas and a pithy core of grapefruit, elderflower and rock salt. 2024-32’ – Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2023, 96/100
‘The 2022 Isliedh is picked by hand, whole bunch pressed straight into barrel with no settling and spontaneously ferments on the lees with no stirring for 14 months. A quarter of the barrels are new. This is the first year where there is 7% Sauvignon Gris, planted in 2019, in the blend. This cuvée is usually quite immediate on the nose, but the 2022 demands more coaxing with lemon rind, chalk and Anjou pear aromas, a distant scent of sea spray becoming more prominent with aeration. The palate is very well-balanced with a disarming, slightly oily texture. The Sauvignon Gris imparts more pithiness towards the persistent, saline, precise finish, perhaps spicier than the 2021. Quite an absorbing Sauvignon Blanc blend that will age in consummate style. 2028-2038’ – Neal Martin, Vinous, 93/100
