| Producer information | The Niepoort family has been creating Port Wines since 1842. Dirk Niepoort, fifth generation, is the head of the business after his father, Rolf’s retirement in 2005. Dirk is a pioneer of table wines in Portugal and, as with all Dirk’s projects around the world, his focus is on traditionally made wines that offer elegance while showcasing terroir. Dirk ‘helped transform the region and the way the world thinks about wine’ says Wine & Spirits Magazine about Dirk and his role in the Douro.
