Stark-Condé, Monk Stone Chenin 2021
R 350 per bottle
The maiden 2021 release of Stark-Condé Monk Stone Chenin Blanc scored a well-deserved 95 points from Christian Eedes, who says, 'Chenin Blanc is set to become the top-end white wine from Jonkershoek Valley property Stark-Condé.' We have a small allocation of this flinty, textured, and delicious Chenin that is perfect for dinner parties and Sunday roasts, but will reward collectors after a few years in the cellar too.

Lustau Sherries
Lustau Sherries are legendary, and Tim Atkin calls Sherry 'the greatest fortified wine in the world'! Try the dry white Manzanilla Papirusa 375ml for only R145 as an aperitif, and end the day with the sweet, made-from-sundried-grapes Pedro Ximénez 375ml for R235. There's a Sherry for every occasion and meal, and we agree with Jancis Robinson that it's 'Spain's unique gift to the wine world'.

Overgaauw's fortified history
Overgaauw has an impressive four-generation history, and David van Velden Snr marked a new era for the estate and South Africa in the 1940s by introducing Port varieties to the Cape. We have a parcel of fortified Cape vintage wines dating back to the 1980s. Time has allowed the residual sugar and higher alcohol to build immense complexity in these Port-styled wines. With winter firmly setting in, these 40-year-olds are a great accompaniment to hearty meals, or keep them in the cellar for further development and enjoy them for decades to come.
