We’ve just landed a new range of glassware that’s taking the fine wine world by storm – Sydonios (see-don-yoss).
We came across Sydonios all over Bordeaux and Champagne, with the elegant Sy logo on the foot of the glass. They're not only made to deliver wines to your palate with incredible precision, but their overall feel, design and packaging are second to none. The hallmarks of these beautiful glasses are their aesthetic appeal, light-weight feel and comfortable handling. Add the stylish, foam-lined packaging and you have something truly exceptional.
At the heart of Sy’s designs is a focus on the structure of wines, not on grape variety or region per se. Today you’ll find Sydonios at 90% of the Cru Classé in Bordeaux, at more than 100 of Champagne’s top growers, and at many of Burgundy’s most revered addresses.
We have three of Sy’s designs on offer today. Le Méridional is a large bowl glass that underlines the elegance in powerful, structured wines. Having crossed paths with these glasses at many Bordeaux châteaux, I can attest to their incredible ability to translate great Bordeaux to your palate. Le Subtil and Le Septentrional are perfect for wines with delicate aromatics and structures (think aged Barolo or Barbaresco or white and red Burgundy).
