Two of South Africa’s most talented winemakers have just launched their epic new releases, mostly from the 2023 vintage. Chris Alheit and Donovan Rall continue to push the boundaries of excellence, and we can see the critics running out of points for these wines! Recent tastings confirm that Chenin Blanc off granitic soils, especially from the Swartland, is particularly fine in 2023. Syrah also continues its upward trajectory. Due to high demand and the finite nature of these special vineyards, most of their wines are available on allocation only.
