‘Made with a field blend of red and white varieties from four parcels in Villabuena de Álava - what Bryan MacRobert calls "the forgotten tradition" of Rioja - this is a light, chiselled, faintly reduced cuvée with fine tannins, lovely balance and redcurrant, raspberry and red cherry flavours. ‘It has a medium to pale red colour. On the nose we have strawberry, raspberry and red plum. The palate is supple, fresh and inviting. The same red fruits predominate on the palate as well. Very nice integrated natural acidity and a fine delicate tannin.’ – Winemaker
