‘The golden-yellow 2009 Vouvray Le Mont Moelleux has a fascinating subtle and aromatic bouquet of perfectly ripe and gently stewed fruits intertwined with biscuit, confiture and caramel notes, as well as lemony flinty aromas. Smooth, round and very elegant, with great finesse and balance, this is a very piquant and salty moelleux with a persistent and aromatic, yet purely mineral and tension-filled finish. The 2009 is very stimulating also due to the delicate yet firm tannins. This is an age-worthy Chenin that is only slowly starting to unfold its charms. 2030-2060’ – Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, 95+/100

‘This wants to be lush, with a core of mango and green fig fruit, but the minerality, ginger blossom and melon rind notes harness it all. The long, pure finish has a lingering green tea note that echoes at the very end. Drink now through 2025.’ – James Molesworth, Wine Spectator, 94/100

‘A very spice-driven wine. Deep golden. Unique aromas of strawberry, as well as notes of cumin and turmeric that carry onto the palate, which is unctuous with lots of honey, apricot. Fascinating. 58 grams per liter residual sugar. 2020-2039’ – Jason Wilson, Vinous, 92/100

‘Utterly delicious nose of sweetcorn, cooked lemon, butter, wax and honey. Still electric with acidity. Long, luscious, flowery finish. Pure and delicious and going incredibly strong at nearly ten years old. 2014 – 2029’– Richard Hemming MW, JancisRobinson.com, 18/20

‘This wine is showing very overt aromas and flavours of extremely ripe tropical fruit alongside notes of toffee apples, nectarines and jasmine.. There's lovely evolution on the long, textured, autumnal palate, and while the acidity feels hidden it manages to balance the heady sweetness. 2018-2025’ – Tina Gellie, Decanter, 91/100
