‘Primarily Clairette (60%) and Ugni Blanc (30%), with bits of Bourboulenc, Marsanne and Rolle, the 2021 Bandol Blanc was still in tank when I visited early last year. ‘Big, soft supple black damson fruit. Fresh, vibrant acidity with some dry oak, and supple wild black damsons, a hint of blackberries. Tart, smoky layers of green dry herbs. Well-managed tannin and good grip on the finish. 2025-2041’ – Decanter, 92/100

‘As always, this estate crafted one of the most perfumed and complex rosé wines in France. The 2023 Bandol Rose exhales aromas of spring flowers, guava, lemon, spices and iodine mingled with delicate licorice hints. Medium-bodied, textural and layered, it’s perfectly balanced with a fleshy core of fruit and bright acids, concluding with a long, mineral and iodine-inflected finish.
