| Producer information | The van Niekerk family history is traced back to 1671 when Cornelis van Niekerk first arrived in the Cape. He was a farmer who sold wine, and after his death, his two sons continued the van Niekerk family legacy. Van Niekerk Vintners was started by Albert van Niekerk in 2019 in the Overberg. He also works in the Gabriëlskloof cellar with Crystallum and Thorne & Daughters wines. The Rebellie 2019 is the first wine under the Van Niekerk Vintners label – a Grenache produced from the grapes used by Anysbos. |
