‘There was no single parcel Finca Martelo made in 2020, so all of the grapes from Torre de Oña's 48-hectare estate in Páganos, were used to make this varietal Tempranillo. Producer information Established in 1987, Torre de Oña was bought by La Rioja S.A in 1995 with the aim of making wine of excellent quality. Located in Rioja Alavesa subzone, the 45 hectare estate specializes in single-vineyard Tempranillo. They also produce small quantities of Mazuela, Garnacha and Viura. In 2005 the winery went a step further in improving their quality by thoroughly studying it’s soils in order to determine the specific characteristics of each site and were the first to use optical sorting of grapes in the region.
