| Producer information | Hannes Storm has spent nearly 2 decades in the pursuit of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay perfection. No single SA winemaker is more dedicated or focused on growing and vinifying Pinot and it shows. After 12 years as winemaker at Hamilton Russell, he started his eponymous label Storm Wines in 2012, and has since been focusing on the best-suited sites for this challenging variety. The remarkable Storm trio – the Ignis, Ridge and Vrede Pinot Noirs each come from one of the three appellations in the Hemel-en-Aarde. Storm Wines is the only producer with Pinots from each of these three appellations. If you have not tried these, you are missing out on South Africa’s benchmark Pinot Noirs. |
