‘87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot, 2% Malbec, 1% Cabernet Franc. Matured for 20 months in barrel, 30% new. The nose is most attractive with notes of violets, red and black berries, crushed leaves and pencil shavings. Medium bodied with fresh acidity and fine tannins, the finish super-dry. | Producer information | Stark-Condé Wines is a boutique winery located in Jonkershoek Valley, started in 1998 by Hans and Midori Schroder, together with their daughter, Marie and her husband José. Their wines are hand-crafted in small volumes using traditional methods: hand sorting, open-top fermentations, hand punch-downs and manual basket pressing. All the Stark-Condé wines are bottled without fining and filtration. Winemaking is done by José. |
