Le Riche Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
R 1,100 PER BOTTLE
‘Most definitely one of those wines that forces you to buy a case even when you know you already have enough wine maturing in the cellar,’ says Greg Sherwood MW. This 2019 from Tim Atkin’s 2023 Winemaking Legend, Le Riche, is a superb rendition and one of the finest single-varietal Cabernet Sauvignons in Stellenbosch. Thivin Côte de Brouilly Les Griottes de Brulhié 2021
R 555 PER BOTTLE
Founded in 1877, Château Thivin remains committed to traditional winemaking and is considered ‘a reference point for classical, age-worthy cru Beaujolais’ (Wine Advocate). This wine is made from Gamay grapes grown on the Brulhié slope, which was praised by Pierre Louvet as far back as the 17th century in his book, The History of Beaujolais, for producing the region's finest wines. A touch of Chardonnay adds finesse, complementing flavours of cherries, peony, and orange rind. The wine is beautifully carried by ‘supple tannins, racy acidity, and long, saline finish’ (WA).

Terre Nere Etna Rosso Guardiola 2021
R 730 PER BOTTLE
Etna Rosso Guardiola is where it all began – it’s the vineyard that produced Tenuta delle Terre Nere’s first wine in 2002. The vines, planted at an impressive 900-1000 metres above sea level, thrive in impoverished volcanic soils rich in sand, rubble, and ash. It's no surprise that this wine played a key role in establishing Etna as the ‘Burgundy of the Mediterranean.’ Marc de Grazia notes that their deepening understanding of the vineyard has led to the excellence seen today, with ‘depths of black cherry, clove, sage, rosemary and ashen stone that make resisting the 2021 Etna Rosso Guardiola impossible’ (Vinous).
