‘Distinguished packaging & return to form for 2017 flagship 5-way Bordeaux blend. Like 2016 (4.5 stars, 93 pts), majority cab & merlot (60/25), but fresher, touch lighter alc (14.7%) & more classically styled. Lovely intensity & complexity, 18 months in oak, 60% new, providing harmonious framework for dark core of cassis, cigarbox & savoury spice. The Winery was officially opened in 2004, however the first vintage of the Ernie Els Signature was 2000.
