Emilio Lustau, Manzanilla Papirusa 375ml NVSpain, Jerez
'Complex and rich with savoury ripe citrus and fresh, yeasty nut aromas; vibrant and energetic with a lingering salty finish.' – Decanter World Wine Awards (Jun 2018), 92/100
'This has a lot of zing, with dried lemon peel and chamomile flower notes leading the way, while chalk and blanched almond accents race in behind them. The finish shows nice tension. Drink now.' – James Molesworth, Wine Spectator (Sep 2018), 91/100
'The NV Manzanilla Papirusa from Sanlucar de Barrameda has an intense straw color with a smoky nose of roasted nuts. The palate is dry and light, with clean, pungent flavors, showing finesse and good length. Lustau is doing a good job to improve their Manzanillas, working with a good almacenista in Sanlucar.' – Robert Parker, Wine Advocate (Aug 2013), 90/100
'Delicate and salty. So salty and so fresh. Tangy, achingly dry and mouth-watering.' – Julia Harding MW, JancisRobinson.com (Mar 2017), 16.5/20
'Bright yellow colo-hr with golden reflections. This Manzanilla is laced with sea breeze scents and pleasant chamomile and flor aromas. Bone dry and light, fresh and crisp, with a hint of sea salt on the palate. Delicate and refreshingly acid with a lingering aftertaste.' – Winemaker

About Emilio Lustau:
Emilio Lustau was created in 1896 by José Ruiz-Berdejo who was an almacenista in Jerez. Today, the historic producer is considered the global standard-bearer for top quality Sherry. Lustau was named Best Spanish Producer at the International Wine & Spirits Competition in London, while the oenologist Manuel Lozano, who sadly passed away in 2016, was awarded the Best Fortified Winemaker title seven years in a row. Lustau’s philosophy has remained the same since its inception in 1896: the pursuit of the highest quality in order to offer the widest and finest range of Sherry.
