'There's a honeyed overtone to this lacy Champagne, and along with notes of raw almond, dried white cherry and Meyer lemon peel, there's good richness to balance the chiseled acidic frame. Creamy finish, with a lingering chime of salinity. Drink now through 2024.' – Alison Napjus, Wine Spectator, 92/100

'A boisterous mousse leads to a bone-dry palate, with a crisp green-apple flavor and tight minerality. It is still very young and this bottling, like all very dry Champagnes, needs to be aged in order to realize its full potential. Drink from 2021.' – Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, 91/100

'The latest rendition of Drappier's NV Brut Nature Pinot Noir Zero Dosage André et Michel is showing nicely, offering up notes of crisp orchard fruit mingled with hints of citrus oil, fresh bread and wet stones. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and precise, its core of vibrant fruit is complemented by a pretty pinpoint mousse, and it concludes with a dry, chalky finish.' – William Kelley, Wine Advocate, 90/100

'A little more smoky than the cellar-aged wine. Mousse is firmer but less aggressive. This is really tight and direct too. Less difference from the cellar-aged bottle than in the Carte d'Or pair. Beautifully creamy on the palate, very smooth but the mousse is released more slowly, thinks Michel Drappier. More citrus here. Still very tight, very crisp, greaty purity and a more salty aftertaste. But it also seems more yeasty and complex. More tension, seemingly higher acidity.' – Julia Harding MW, JancisRobinson.com, 17.5/20

'Golden colour with copper hues. Nose of freshly pressed black grapes, of red, white and citrus fruits. Ample palate with flesh of vineyard peach and bouquet of aromatic herbs. spicy notes in the finish. A fine tightly knit Champagne of great purity.' – Drappier

Producer information The house of Drappier was established during Napoleonic times, though its Urville cellars date back to the 12th century. Considered to be one of Champagne's greatest boutique producers, Drappier's vintage and prestige cuvées were famously collected by Charles de Gaulle - the French general and statesman who led the Free French Forces during the Second World War. Drappier's winemaking philosophy is one of minimum intervention and, since 2008, the house has been producing Champagne with very little addition of sugar and sulphur dioxide. The wines are typically fruity, lively and exuberant with a strong Pinot Noir influence.
