‘One of those Chenin Blancs that always delivers in the glass, Hope Marguerite is a combination of two old-vine parcels, planted in 1974 and 1978 respectively. Barrel fermented in 15% new wood, it's intense without being ponderous in any way, melding flavours of cinnamon, nectarine, pear and green apple. ‘Bursting with peach and melon aromas, the 2022 Hope Marguerite Chenin Blanc is rounder in nature compared to the previous vintage, with a fresh, bright expression. Medium-bodied, with a full yet elegant and round mid-palate, the wine offers a kiss of phenolic bitterness before displaying energetic acidity with a delicate mineral tension.
