Tasting notes:
'Sourced from vines grown on a terraced south-facing granite amphitheatre, planted in 1911, this wine is strongly herbal in its aromatic profile, from the inclusion of a proportion of whole bunches. The palate is concentrated, ripe, rich and juicy, but not at all overoaked after its 18 months in barriques. The long, persistent finish is fruity but fairly savoury, and the tannins are well managed, not overly polished, giving relief and texture to the fruit. Drinking Window 2020 - 2028.' – Decanter, 94/100

'Saturated ruby. Expressive aromas of blackberry, cherry liqueur and olive paste are complemented by a suave floral element. Sweet, seamless and deeply flavored, with a smoky mineral quality sharpening palate-coating black/blue fruit liqueur and floral pastille flavors. The juicy, sharply delineated and very persistent finish features slow-building tannins, smoky mineral cut and echoing florality.' – Josh Raynolds, Vinous, 93-94/100

'Cuilleron's 2017 Cornas Lieu Dit les Côtes comes from vines planted in 1911 in the southern portion of the appellation. It's partially destemmed, fermented with indigenous yeasts, then matured 18 months in oak (50% new). Violets, crushed stone and purple raspberries mark the nose, while the full-bodied palate is silky from start to finish, finishing with slightly sanguine notes and lingering tannins. Tasted twice (once blind), with consistent results.' – Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, 92+/100

Alc: 13%
