Mullineux, Kloof Street Chenin Blanc 2020 – R 115
'Two vineyards - one on granite and one on schist - supply the grapes for this tasty, naturally fermented Chenin Blanc from Chris and Andrea Mullineux. Very lightly wooded, it's all about crunchy, aromatic fruit expression, with notes of pear and citrus and a stony tang. Drink 2021-24.' – Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2021, 91/100

Newton Johnson, Albariño 2020 – R 220
'As the vines have got older, so this Albariño, now into its eighth vintage, has taken on more weight and intensity. Pithy and saline, with lime and green apple flavours and a hint of gala melon. Long, dry and very refreshing. Drink 2022-29.' – Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2021, 93/100

Ataraxia, Sauvignon Blanc 2020 – R 145
'It doesn’t get the same plaudits as the Ataraxia Chardonnay, but this pan-regional Sauvignon Blanc consistently delivers the goods. Herbal, savoury and racy, it eschews easy fruit flavours in favour of taut acidity and lovely focus. Drink 2021-24.' – Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2021, 91/100

Bosman, Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Pinot Noir 2020 – R 215
'10% whole-bunch fermentation. Matured for 10 months in French oak, 10% new. Aromatics are complex and enticing – a hint of smoky reduction before red cherry, musk, rose, herbs and cured meat. The palate, meanwhile, is pure and precise – good depth of fruit, racy acidity and fine tannins.' – Winemag Prescient Pinot Noir Report 2021, Top 10 (94/100)

Tom and the Peloton, Ventoux Rouge 2017 – R 260
'The limited Tom and the Peloton Ventoux Rouge 2017 is a wine for Rhône lovers and cycling fanatics alike. Produced by Domaine des Anges, the charming blend of Syrah and Grenache pays homage to Tom Simpson – one of Britain’s greatest cyclists who sadly died during his ascent of Mont Ventoux during the 1967 Tour de France. A portion of the proceeds of each bottle sold is donated to the Simpson family to help maintain the memorial on the route of the Tour de France. This Ventoux Rouge offers wonderful red fruit density mingled together with pepper spice and dried herbs to deliver a juicy yet structured wine.' – Wine Cellar

Waterkloof, Seriously Cool Cinsault 2020 – R 140
'The old bush vines gave rise to a soft, vibrant and lively wine. It is playful in its aromas with loads of red berries, pronounced florals and perfume notes. In the mouth, the prominent fruit aromatics are complemented by soft tannins, fresh acidity that develop effortlessly. This wine can be enjoyed on its own, but also pairs well with a variety of dishes, especially duck or a pork-belly inspired dish.' – Nadia Barnard, Winemaker
