'A delightfully pale coloured rosé. Delicate, fresh red berry aromas, especially pomegranate and raspberries, combined with a flinty note are prominent on the nose. The palate shows lovely acidity and elegance with a lingering aftertaste. Traditionally, the wine is served chilled on its own, but also marries well with the combination of spicy, tuna-based sushi and soya sauce.' – Winemaker

'A beautifully pale salmon hue and complex aromas of peppered strawberries, tangy redcurrants and crushed wild herbs. These follow on the elegant, fine-textured palate, enlivened by crisp acidity and appealing notes of wet slate. Producer information Pioneering biodynamic winemaking in South Africa with their lunar cycles, deep-bed system, worm house and portable chicken coop, Waterkloof are unassumingly elegant and sophisticated in their approach to farming and winemaking. The Somerset West estate places a strong emphasis on minimal intervention and gentle handling to preserve the natural ‘circle of life’ in all areas on the farm, and this is reflected in their wines, which show a commonality of sophisticated restraint. Their white wines are particularly food-friendly and have received high acclaim internationally from critics such as Jamie Goode and the Independent Wine Review.
