'Smoky – but not in a rubbery way, in a toasty oak sort of way. Luscious black fruit, long and sophisticated on the palate. Still very much on the way up.' (Tasted in 2018) - Richard Hemming MW, JancisRobinson.com, 17+/20
'(14.5% alcohol; 51% Malbec, 46% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon): Bright, full red-ruby. Very ripe, chocolatey aromas of blackberry, blueberry and licorice pastille, lifted by subtle notes of pepper and mint; reminded me of a Napa Valley Cabernet. Supple, chocolatey and fine-grained, with a restrained sweetness to its glossy dark berry, menthol, liquorice and sexy oak flavors. Quite suave in texture but more chocolatey and less complex than the stunning 2012. Finishes with slightly less refined tannins.' (Tasted in 2015) - Stephen Tanzer, Vinous.com, 91/100
'Ripe and focused, with a solid core of dark currant, crushed blackberry and steeped plum fruit, studded with anise, charcoal and dark tobacco notes. The lingering charcoal edge gives the finish grip. A very solid red. Malbec, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.' (Tasted in 2014) - James Molesworth, Wine Spectator, 92/100
'Sweet baking spice and fudgy brownie abound in the bouquet of this ripe, jammy red blend, framing the dense black berry, plum and boysenberry core. The mouthfeel is plush and velvety, with a soft grip and fruit-skin flavors that linger through the solid finish alongside hints of espresso and toasted allspice.' - Lauren Buzzeo, Wine Enthusiast, 91/100
