'The 2017 Reserve Sémillon Sauvignon Blanc was matured in barrel for 11 months. It has a pleasant grass clipping and Granny Smith apple bouquet. The palate is fresh and effervescent on the entry, offering orange and lemon zest and dovetailing into a more phenolic, pithy finish. Very fine.' – Neal Martin Report 2018, 90/100
‘Rich aromatics of lime, fresh pear, winter melon, hazelnuts and a touch of herbs. This intensity is continued on the palate with integrated flavours of fruit, spice and minerality; it is luxurious yet finely detailed. The elegance of the savoury finish is noticeable as the flavours very slowly fade. A delicious, elegant wine that leaves the drinker refreshed.' – Winemaker
Viticulture:
Harvest started the 2nd week of February and continued for 2 weeks. The different parcels were whole bunched pressed and fermented 100% in old French oak 500l, 300l and 225l barrels. Extended lees contact before blending. Partly natural fermented.

| Producer information | Trizanne Barnard went solo with her own brand in 2008 after years of building experience locally at Klein Constantia, launching Anwilka wines and various international vintages. Trizanne’s focus since her own first vintage, has always been on 2 very diverse wine regions; Elim and the Swartland. Trizanne lives in Kommetjie and makes her wines in Noordhoek. Apart from everything wine-related: making wine, judging on various panels and sampling the finest, she is an avid surfer who draws patience and respect for nature from each aquatic experience. |
