| Producer information | Tom and the Peloton is a classic, wonderfully versatile Ventoux rouge from Domaine des Anges which pays homage to Tom Simpson. Tom Simpson was one of Britain’s greatest riders and the first to wear the leader’s yellow jersey. Sadly, during the 13th stage of the Tour de France 1967, Tom collapsed and died during his ascent of Mont Ventoux at age 29. Tom and the Peloton, made from the vineyards of Ventoux, marks the anniversary of Tom’s passing and helps maintain and upkeep his memorial on the roadside close to where he died. |
