‘From Polkadraai Hills grapes. 15% whole-bunch fermentation. Matured in stainless steel tank and bottled early on account of the wine from this vintage being so immediately open. Inviting aromatics of rose, fresh herbs including just the right amount of mint, orange, plums, black cherry and a hint of earth. | Producer information | Thistle and Weed was created in 2015 by Fairview winemaker Stephanie Wiid and Delheim viticulturist Etienne Terblanche. These Young Gunners first burst onto the scene with their maiden-release 2016 Thistle & Weed Duwweltjie Chenin Blanc which garnered a Platter’s 5 star. They produce artisan wines, focusing primarily on Chenin Blanc, and their grapes are sourced from organic and responsibly farmed vineyards from different parts of the Cape. |
