Strauss & Co Fine Wine Auction 2010 vintage

Strauss & Co Fine Wine Auction

Fine 2010s – Kanonkop, Sadie Family, Vilafonté, Piedmont, Burgundy & more

Fine wines, from terroirs around the world, generally require ageing to reach the point where they offer the best drinking experience. The question of how long is a more complicated one, as it depends on your taste as well as the style of the wine in question. Wines made in a more traditional style usually require longer ageing. Often austere in their youth, maturity brings them balance and depth. Modern wines can achieve this balance earlier as riper fruit tends to balance bigger structure. Therefore, 8-12 years from vintage is a dependable drinking window, where primary fruit combines with a softer structure and tertiary complexity.

ighlights on the Strauss & Co Fine Wine 2010 vintage sale are aplenty, including the extremely rare, 5-star Sadie Family Columella 2010. Strauss & Co is also delighted to offer CWG wines from Kanonkop and Le Riche as well as flagship reds from Rust en Vrede, Tokara, Glenelly and Thelema!
