| Producer information | The inspiration for the name of Silverthorn Wines came from the Karroo Acacia tree and its white thorns – one of the Karoo’s most prolific thorn trees. Silverthorn focuses solely on the production of Méthode Cap Classique (MCC) wines and is a member of the Cap Classique Association and the Cape Winemakers Guild. Located in Robertson, Wsstern Cape, Silverthorn describes their rocky, lime-rich, shale soils terroir as being similar to the famous Champagne soils in France. |
