The Reserve Red is 100% Syrah, grown sustainably from a single parcel on Reyneke. It gets better with every release and is probably the most complete and typical expression of Polkadraai Syrah – capturing all the amazing elements of the region’s now-famous soils. Seductively aromatic with savoury spice and wonderful depth of fruit, it’s charming yet powerful. ‘A real doppelgänger for a Northern Rhône,’ says Neal.
