The 2022 Langhe Nebbiolo is bright and focused, with brooding power and classic dark cherry and violet notes. 'A little surprise from Produttori,' says the Wine Advocate, considering 2022 was regarded as a warmer vintage.
2019 was an exemplary vintage in Piedmont. Classical, mineral and nuanced wines were made, with Nebbiolo's innate power and grace, incredible vitality, and clarity of terroir. 'A gorgeous wine' (Vinous) and 'a fantastic expression' (Jeb Dunnuck) note the critics on Produttori del Barbaresco's exceptional 2019 Barbaresco.
Named after the appellation and village, Produttori del Barbaresco was formed when the local headmaster of the Royal Enological School brought nine Barbaresco vignerons together to produce one wine from some of the best vineyards in the DOCG appellation. Sadly things came to an end during the Second World War until the local priest, Don Fiorino, convinced 19 growers to produce wines under the name Produttori del Barbaresco in the 1950s, building the cooperative to what it is today.
