Tasting notes:
'Unsurprisingly, however the Extra Brut Rosé 2013 from expert Cap Classique maker Pieter Ferreira is very fine indeed. Consisting solely of Pinot Noir sourced from both Elgin and Slanghoek Valley, this was disgorged in November 2019, the equivalent of over six years on the lees. Salmon pink in colour, the nose shows strawberry, nectarine and orange while the palate has good depth of flavour with a creamy mousse. It’s wonderfully rich while remaining very clean and precise.' – Christian Eedes, Winemag.co.za, 91/100

'A refined, salmon colour with a fine beady mousse. Delicate yeasty tones, layered with red berry fruit such as cherries and raspberries. Fine and well-integrated mousse and a persistent bead. Great vibrant mouth-feel with creamy texture and layered long lingering finish.' – Winemaker
