'Exotic, smoky nose of black olive and earthy redcurrant, then on to a plush palate graced with blackberry, clove, spice and a silky acidity.' – Decanter World Wine Awards, 96/100 (Gold)

'This biodynamically farmed, single-vineyard blend of Syrah (75%) and Grenache (25%) offsets rich, spicy flavors of plum pudding and black figs against veins of crushed earth, granite and ore. It's a vibrant yet svelte red, supple in mouthfeel and tannins. Ready now, the wine should improve through 2028 and hold further.' – Anna Lee C. Iijima, Wine Enthusiast, 94/100

'Impressive as a prospective blend taken from equal proportions of barriques, demi-muids and tanks, the 2018 Ventoux Artemia boasts exuberant notes of cherries and blueberries accented by assertive notes of cracked pepper. It's full-bodied, creamy and lush, then firms up just enough on the finish to think it will have a decade of longevity. Drink 2020-2030.' – Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, 92-94/100

Producer information Château Pesquié, situated northeast of Avignon within the Rhône Valley, is a place that, according to Wine Spectator, looks like it has produced fine wines for decades. The estate consists of 250 acres of organic vineyards spread over the foothills of Mont Ventoux. Its landmark is the wind-whipped, white limestone peak that watches over the estate. Robert Parker calls Château Pesquié one of his 'all-time favorite producers in France', and their reputation confirms this after receiving more than a dozen 90-plus-point scores for their wines. Their wines are described as fresh, fruit-driven and exuberant, and are the best examples of today's Ventoux AOC bottlings.
