'Apples, cream, nuts, orange peel, and spicy oak all over the nose, with a dry, long, super moreish palate. Excellent now and for years to come.' – Decanter World Wine Awards 2021, 96/100 (Gold)

'Intensely aromatic with ripe yellow peach, nectarine and apricot back by toast and vanilla notes. Super concentration and intensity with overt oak and a touch of zingy acidity. Long, dry and classy on the finish.' – Decanter World Wine Awards 2020, 97/100 (Platinum)

'The latest in an impressive run of outstanding Chardonnays from this top Elgin estate - no mean feat in a vintage where some producers struggled with fructose levels - this is bigger and bolder than the 2017 release. More Meursault than Puligny-Montrachet perhaps, with some cream and cashew notes on the palate underpinned by racy acidity. Drink 2021-28.' – Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2019, 96/100

'Spontaneously fermented and matured for nine months in French oak, 30% new. Lemon, bee’s wax, vanilla and oak spice on the nose while the palate is rich and smooth textured – good depth of fruit, nicely integrated acidity and a savoury finish. Full and flavoursome.' – Winemag Prescient Chardonnay Report 2020, Top 10

'Naturally fermented/9 months in 40% new oak & 30% malo create a lavish wine with a rich fruit core of peach, melon & fig fruit. Rich, creamy palate balanced by clean-cut acidity, flint & oak spice emerge on the finish of poised 2018.' – Platter's Guide, 4.5* (93/100)
