| Producer information | Abraham was the first van Velden to make wine at Overgaauw when he founded the farm in 1905 and built his wine cellar four years later. The Van Veldens are true Cape winemaking pioneers. David’s father, Braam, was a founding member of the Cape Winemakers Guild in 1984 and they were one of the first estates to produce a Bordeaux blend, make Merlot in SA and use 225ℓ Bordeaux barrels for élevage. |
