Niepoort, Kettern Falkenberg 750ml 2016Germany, Mosel
'From a higher, east-facing plot of the Piesporter single vineyard very stony soils with a higher proportion of quartzite, the 2016 Mosel Riesling Falkenberg has a very clear, fresh and delicately slatey nose of white ripe fruits and cold stones. Lush and piquant, with a salty freshness and remarkable finesse, this is a lithe but tensioned dry Riesling bottled with 11% alcohol. The finish is long, pure and salty, absolutely refreshing and highly delicate. Bottled in October 2017, tasted March 2018.' – Wine Advocate, 91/100
Dry – 2.8g/l and 11% Alcohol
Ageing in old 1000l wooden foudres.
