‘From a Paardeberg Chenin Blanc vineyard planted in 1984. Handled oxidatively before ferment and reductively afterwards – left untouched in concrete for 18 months before bottling. Somewhat curious aromatics, flintiness combing with a pronounced yeasty note, cut apple and spice. | Producer information | Mother Rock is a collaboration between winemakers Johan Meyer and Ben Henshaw of Indigo. Using some of the best grapes from across the Cape, they have created their Force Majeure wines. Their other wines under the Mother Rock label are also made from grapes sourced from exceptional parcels in the Swartland and are made as naturally as possible. Their wines focus on clarity and cleanliness at accessible prices. |
