'The 2014 Estate Reserve is a blend of 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc and 14% Petit Verdot. This was tasted from two bottles as the first was slightly oxidized. The nose is nicely focused on the second, featuring detailed blackberry, briar and tobacco scents, plus notes of cedar coming through with time. The fleshy palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and gentle grip, that balsamic leitmotif continuing and demonstrating fine precision on the finish. Excellent.' 'This wine has a ripe character but preserves freshness. Berries, smoke, prune and subtle notes of walnut and chocolate form the nose. On the palate, it delivers layers of ripe plum, blackberry and blueberry that are well integrated with oak spice.
