‘The pale aromatic, floral and elegant 2023 Côtes du Jura Clos des Fraisiers Poulsard, which was hand-destemmed in the traditional way for the grape, was already bottled. It comes from a vineyard planted in 1991 on Lias red marl soils. It matured in 600-liter barrels for seven months. It has a moderate 12.5% alcohol and balancing acidity and freshness. It is a bit reductive, a tendency of the grape and perhaps also because of the recent bottling. But this is always quite clean and elegant, often ethereal, with perfume and notes of herbs. It has a light palate with very fine tannins.
