'A popular product in Italy and abroad, the Pio Cesare NV Vermouth di Torino opens to a dark copper or amber color. This is a fun and genuine expression, with candied almond, maple syrup, orange peel and medicinal herb. The blend of grapes at the bottom of this Vermouth is Chardonnay and Moscato, and you only just catch a fleeting glimpse of the floral aromas associated with the latter. 'Niepoort's Late Bottled Vintage Port from the now-legendary 2017 vintage is all about structure and restrained power. It opens up with lush red and black fruit, minty spice, earthy notes and a saline minerality. It offers up a concentrated yet precise palate, with fine-grained, grippy tannins, a long finish, and incredible quality of spirit. This is unbelievably fresh and pure, and intense in the best way.
