Ever since we started importing Château Pesquié wines (over 5 years ago), they've been some of our top-sellers. Today's highlight, the Terrasses Ventoux Rouge, provides high-quality and value. From Bordeaux, Clos des Lunes delivers a terrific Bordeaux blanc in their Lune d'Argent – the 'heart' of their production. On the local front, we have Christa von La Chevallerie's Chenin from old bush vines whose grapes have been used by some of SA's renowned producers. Then a classic Stellenbosch Cabernet from Le Riche which drinks well now and has the ability to age. Lastly, the attractive 2020 Elmie rosé which, like Tim Atkin MW said of the 2018, 'tastes as good as it looks'!

Pesquié, Terrasses Ventoux Rouge 2017
R 215 per bottle
Robert Parker calls Château Pesquié one of his ‘all-time favourite producers in France’ and we agree. Year on year, this unoaked blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah offers incredible value and utter drinkability. ‘The wines sell for a song, yet always deliver high-quality and loads of character’ – a no-brainer purchase.

Lune d'Argent, Bordeaux Sec 2018
R 315 per bottle
From a very old and prestigious Bordeaux terroir, between Yquem and Guiraud, comes this incredible Bordeaux blanc – a dry white from Sauternes. Purchased by Domaine de Chevalier in 2011, this blend of 70% Sémillon and 30% Sauvignon Blanc is mouth-watering. Notes of orange blossom and tangerine are supported by a fresh mineral core and vibrant acidity. A must for any dinner table.

Elmie, Rosé 2020
R 210 per bottle
This Provence-style rosé impresses us with its complexity. The 2018 was named Overall Rosé of the Year in Tim Atkin MW's 2019 SA Report and was one of our top 3 rosé picks of the year. The 2020 is as charming, if not more so, with its floral, wild strawberry and rosehip notes.
