| Producer information | The two winemakers of Maanschijn, Paul Hoogwerf and Doug Mylrea, produce artisanal wines from vineyards in the Walker Bay region. They attended the same high school and university, and later on in life their paths crossed again, leading them to create Maanschijn. The Maanschynkop mountain, located behind their winemaking building, provided the inspiration for their name. They strive to produce low intervention, fresh and uniquely South African wines. |
