Tasting notes on the 2018 vintage:
'This is the second release of a reserve white from Pieter Carstens, which combines Chenin Blanc with a soupçon of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Dense, leesy with just a hint of wood, honey, thatch and kitchen spices on the palate, impressive extract and concentration and a twist of aniseed. Drink 2020-24.' – Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2020, 93/100

'This is a vintage blend of the best whites Leeuwenkuil produces from the Swartland region. 2018 has a delicate nose of white blossoms, apple and just a hint of pepper. The palate offers ripe peach and tangy pineapple flavour with an intriguing underlying chalky minerality which lingers on the finish.' – Winemaker
