| Producer information | Master of Wine and award-winning Elgin based winemaker, Richard Kershaw has one of the most unique approaches to winemaking in the Cape. He focuses on clonal selection and meticulously sources grapes from small parcels. Working with what is best suited to Elgin, Richard started with Chardonnay but soon branched out to Syrah and Pinot Noir. Formerly with Kanu and Mulderbosch, British-born Richard has an encyclopaedic knowledge of all matters vinous. His wines are produced in small quantities, they are refined and elegant, often described as ethereal. |
