| Producer information | Joubert-Tradauw is a family-owned private cellar located in the Tradouw Valley in the Klein Karoo. The Joubert family is an institution in the SA wine industry and their family traces back to wine farming in Wellington in around 1800. Of their 1,000-hectare property, 15 hectares are plated with vines. Due to the unique microclimate and terroir of the Tradauw Valley, harvesting takes place much later, usually around the end of March or April. Award-winning winemaker, Meyer Joubert, and his wife Beate run Joubert-Tradauw which is the only boutique cellar along the R62 – the longest wine route. |
