'Once again there is a liqueur-like aspect to the pretty and fresh aromas of plum, black raspberry and an abundance of spice elements and especially anise. The precise, refined and energetic flavors brim with minerality that adds a sense of lift to the beautifully complex, persistent and balanced finale. This is a terrific villages and very much worth your interest. Drink 2027+.' – Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, 91/100

'The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Village has turned out beautifully, unwinding in the glass with notes of raspberries and cherries mingled with subtle hints of petals and spices. Medium to full-bodied, elegantly fleshy and precise, with a nicely concentrated core of fruit, lively acids and powdery tannins, it's more classically proportioned than its richer, riper 2018 counterpart. Drink 2023-2049.' – William Kelley, Wine Advocate, 90+/100 (Sep 2021)

'The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Village showed just a little more reduction on the nose compared to Drouhin’s other Village Crus. The palate is compact and quite tight, delivering good weight but just missing a little amplitude. However, I do enjoy the sapidity on the aftertaste, and maybe it is simply biding its time. Give it a couple of years in bottle. Drink 2023-2038.' – Neal Martin, Vinous, 88-90/100 (Dec 2020)

Producer information In 1880, a 22-year-old Joseph Drouhin settled in Beaune and founded his own wine company. His son Maurice succeeded him and established a domaine for the Drouhin house by buying land in outstanding appellations including the famous Clos des Mouches and Clos de Vougeot. Today, 4th generation Véronique Drouhin continues the family’s prestigious Burgundy legacy. With 73 hectares of biodynamically-farmed vines, Joseph Drouhin is one of Burgundy’s largest estates. With vineyards in close to 90 different appellations, Drouhin offers a fascinating array of Burgundy terroirs.
