'Produced from 1.15ha of domaine-owned vines in the lieux-dits of Les Enseignères, Les Charmes and Les Houillères. The blend this year shows surprising depth of flavour, beginning with fresh citrus notes and an accent of flinty minerality on the initial attack. The maturation is evident in the spice notes that develop on the palate, but the wine never loses its elegance or balance, and there is enough substance to carry it through a pleasantly lingering finish. Drinking Window 2021 - 2029.' – Charles Curtis MW, Decanter, 92/100

'Produced entirely from domaine holdings in the lieux-dits of Les Houlières, La Rousselle, Les Charmes and Les Enseignères, Boillot's 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Village mingles aromas of citrus oil, peach, white flowers, fresh bread and oyster shell in an inviting bouquet. Medium to full-bodied, bright and chiseled, with tangy acids and a penetrating finish, it has turned out very well. Drink 2022-2042.' – William Kelly, Wine Advocate, 91/100

'From 1 ha of evenly mixed vines in Houlières, Charmes, La Rue aux Vaches, Rue Rousseau and Enseignères. A very Puligny nose reflects notes of acacia blossom, citrus peel and essence of ripe apple. There is fine volume and intensity to the lightly mineral-infused middle weight flavors that possess lovely refinement on the bitter lemon tinged finale. This is an excellent Puligny villages and worth considering. Drink 2025+.' – Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, 90/100

'The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Village has a light, airy bouquet that offers red apple and peach skin aromas. The palate is fresh on the entry with touches of almond and hazelnut, good acidity with sufficient tension and sapidity on the finish to beckon you back for another sip. Drink 2022-2030.' – Neal Martin, Vinous, 89-91/100

Producer information Based in Meursault, between the villages of Puligny-Montrachet and Volnay, Henri Boillot is at the epicentre of great winemaking. The Boillots have been tending vines and making wines since 1885. Henri joined in 1975, bought out his siblings in 2005 and his son, Guillaume, joined in 2008. It totals 19 hectares, with roughly equal surfaces of red and white. Included herein, is 4 hectares of the famous Monopole vineyard of Clos de la Mouchère which has developed a cult following. In a very short space of time, they’ve built an extraordinary reputation for the sheer quality of their Burgundy wines, it is no surprise that Allen Meadows thinks this superstar producer ‘has arguably become the finest pure négoce specializing in white Burgundy today’.
