| Producer information | The historic Groote Post farm, located on the Darling Hills on the Cape West Coast, dates back to 1808 and was once home to the Dutch East India Company. The Pentz family bought the farm in 1972 which now totals 3,000 hectares. 3rd and 4th generation dairy farmers, Peter and Nick Pentz, run Groote Post and started planted vines in 1993, with their maiden release in 1999. They have 112 hectares of vines planted with noble cultivars which experience a cool-climate terroir. |
